Help Internal memory files not showing on PC

Kepler

Lurker
I have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus with Android Ver 4.2.1 . My PC runs under Windows 7 Professional.

When I connect the phone to my PC the following 3 internal storage files do not show in Windows Explorer: eBooks (this is used by the Aldiko eBook reader), Digital Editions & panoramas. On the phone I can see them in ES File Explorer and in Aldiko. All other internal storage files in the phone also show up in Windows Explorer.

I'm wondering if it has something to do with Windows not recognizing the file types and thus not displaying them. If you copy those files to your PC are they visible? You can use a program like Airdroid to transfer them wirelessly assuming you have wifi (since obviously if you can't see them you can't copy them with windows explorer).

Yep, maybe worth to try setting the Windows Explorer to show also hidden and system files.

Thanks for the replies.

They're not under hidden files and folders and I even unticked the "Hide protected operating systems files", but without any success.

As two of the three problem folders don't have any files in them it seems to be Windows not recognising the folders, rather than any particular file type.

Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to try the suggestion of copying them across as my PC doesn't have wi-fi - I use a direct cable access to the router.
