Help Internal memory of the Evo

Having an internal memory problem. I discovered it had dropped to 92MB so I moved everything I could to the SD card and installed aCCleaner and got it back up to 167MB. I notice there are some apps that are greyed out (i.e., they won't let me move that app to the SD card). Is there a way to override this or insist all apps be run off the SD card? Also is there a way to delete apps that came with the phone that I do not use?

only apps that support apps2sd will be able to move to the sd card, and unfortunately, if you are not rooted you can't remove them.

however, if you were rooted you can partition your sd card and move all of your apps to the card. at the moment the apps2sd only moves part of the app to the card. some of it still remains in the internal memory. that is why when you move some apps, you loose the ability to use their widgets.

Thanks - although the news is disappointing. Only negative thing I have found about the Evo yet. Why the internal memory is so low I cannot figure out because I do not have that many apps installed.

there are some good cache cleaners that may help clean your phone that are on the market. a lot of apps use cache for storing temporary files. and from time to time they could be cleaned. this may help out with memory issues.

yeah, you can try rooting your phone and install DarkTremor.
Its great for saving that precious internal memory. I have like 120 apps (trying to cut down..hehe) and still have 350mb+ of internal memory.
