[International / GSM] corrupt bootloader

hacks

Lurker
Im rooted. Had codename 120. franco 16.2.

Did a backup using titanium backup. For shits and giggles i tried to install a new bootloader 4.04. Then i wanted the newest cn 150. Thinking that if anything went wrong i could restore.. Not!!! All i get is the android guy with an (!) in a triagle. Now im stuck with 4.02 cause thats all that was showing in my backups. It still apears im still unlocked and rooted but cant install any roms or get into recovery at all. My pc wont recognize my gnex once i try to get into the bootloader. What can i do to fix this problem? I know i messed the bootloader up. Is there some way to restore it back to stock? If my pc would recognize it i wouldnt have a problem. please help!!

hacks,

So, does your phone boot up okay or are you stuck in the stock recovery screen (which is what I think you were reporting)?

If you can boot-up into Android, just grab the ROM Manager app and re-flash ClockworkMod custom recovery.

How did you root in the first place? (via Wug's root tool kit or manually via adb?).

You still should be able to talk to you phone form your PC in fastboot mode (verify with fastboot devices).

Let us know a little more about exactly what state your phone is in...we'll get you hooked-up.

Cheers!

This happened to me shows rooted but your not
Programs were telling me I'm not rooted and android was saying I was
You need to get rooted again but first hopefully you did a manual droid backup
Just keep trying get into a good bootmode and manual restore
Took me several tries, ready to give up and it finally started to work right to let me manually load

Thanks for the help. I used my rom manager to fix the problem. I just flashed cwm and I was able to get into the boot loader without the android(!). To answer your question I rooted manually. Rom manager rocks.com
