[International / GSM] Simplest root method

[sam007]

Guys

I just want root to be able to turn on wifi tether without paying the provider. Would the clockword method listed at this link the simplest and best way?

I may possibly look at using custom ROM's in the future but for the moment, just need root for wifi tether

Thanks all

Fwiw, might not want to mention your intentions, as they are a violation of TOS here now.

Yes, thank you quickaudi.

At this point in time, Verizon doesn't allow tethering without subscribing to their Mobile Broadband Connect (Mobile Hotspot):

Verizon's official tethering policy

According to the Verizon Terms of Service (ToS) available at http://support.verizonwireless.com/terms/products/vz_email.html

Verizon's official policy about tethering is

Data Services: Prohibited Uses
Customers who do not have dedicated Mobile Broadband devices cannot tether other devices to laptops or personal computers for use as wireless modems unless they subscribe to Mobile Broadband Connect.

Currently because Verizon does not allow tethering without a specific plan if you wish to tether please visit www.verizon.com and switch your data package to a "Data Package with Mobile Hotspot / Mobile Broadband Connect"

Cheers and thanks for understanding.
