I say the best,I had tried a couple of others and was suffering badly, so searched and found ne5 at the time, to be the latest ee :-)

You cannot flash a modem through any recovery whatsoever.
You need to extract the .tar (or .tar.md5) file and flash this in Odin
GSM/LTE modems go in the CP/PHONE box
Bootloaders go in the BL/Bootloader box
 
The I9505XXUGNG4 modem is, strangely enough, performing well for me in the UK on the Vodafone network. Unlike the usual modems for Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, this is not a DXU modem but is, rather, an XXU, global, modem. See post #152.
 
Good old Repulsa has updated his post with the latest modem to hit the streets, namely NH7

Typical! This is the thanks I get for coming out of S4 retirement to update 2 important posts on here because my fellow cohorts are too lackadaisical these days.

I'm guessing that Syd's gone into hibernation, early, again and that you're still in rehab.
