Root [International] need efs help

Ah right. This EFS thing is frying my head bro lol. I keep seeing it happen on g+ etc. Is it defo connected to changing modem? Ive been on EMC2 for ages now

This isn't the case is it

[REF] IMEI / EFS - Know this stuff (i9300) - including "no network" - xda-developers

You need a ROM or baseband that is after July, so MGx (with x being a number) onwards. You seem to be using MHx (August baseband) which from the thread posted above shows you have a different type of efs folder.

This might not be the problem either, I'm sort of just clutching at straws :/

EDIT: Ignore this, apparently it shouldn't apply to ROMs after July as they can read either efs folder

Hmmmm, maybe I should start from scratch. Does anyone have an Odin file with current baseband? I know I can get them at xda and sammobile, but there's so many. If I could set my phone up exactly like someone here I might be able to troubleshoot my actual problem.

I do want to go to stock firmware, but as I asked before, what should I chose and what roms would be supported?

Yea! I finally got a room to work! In on carbon! Thank you so so much funky! I flashed it with Philz and it works! Nice ROM! Also a big thanks to heat57 and yatezy for helping in all my frustrations! Great group of guys in a great little community!

Try wiping cache and dalvik then flash gapps again. That should get Play woking. Had same issue myself the other night ;)

Can't seem to get the play store to download anything. It just keeps spinning

... and , if funky's suggestion does not solve it try the following:-
go to Settings > Applications manager > All (applications) and choose
1. Google Play services - clear cache and data (if available)
2. Google Play Store - clear cache and data
3. Google Services Framework - clear data
4. reboot and try the Store then.
If for a reason you still can't get it going then go to settings again . Accounts and select your Google account then remove it and add it back again (all your data should automatically sync again, provided you tick what you want to sync). That should do it.

Hi, sorry for interrupting. I tried installing Revolution HD tonight too and have a similar problem. However, I also removed the "0" file from my phone too. Having a nightmare. Can anyone help?? Thread is here http://androidforums.com/samsung-galaxy-s3/799167-efs-corrupt.html

DON'T DELETE THE "0" DIRECTORY FROM JB 4.2+ FIRMWARES - it will break everything! If you come from a JB 4.1.2 ROM you should do a full wipe and format data, SD (internal), cache and dalvik and preload partitions - Note! you'll lose all personal data on you built-in card so backup what you need.

Because of the multi-user setup since JB 4.2 you'll always have and need the "0" folder so don't delete it (it's like deleting the C:/ partition in Windows ;)

How do they get it back bro? Ive heard of people having multiple /0/0/0/0 type setup lol. Ive been lucky with this shit i think :)

If you use Philz recovery there you can goto > mounts and Storage Menu > scroll down to "format section" and start going through the format cache, followed by /system, /data, /preload and finally /sdcard (which is your inter built-in card) - beware, it will blitz your device and nothing, except the content of your external SD-card will be left. You'll have a super clean device ready for installing any ROM you like. Then, you'll also have only one "0" partition/folder.

Think id gona do that bro. I "thought" i did a blitz a week ago by doin a factory reset from the phones settings. Gained 7GB, now after maybe adding like two apps, i have 2GB.....:confused::confused:
