Root [International] PhilZ CWM Recovery - Dummies Guide

Only if you don't want a working device.
That's full of modules and libraries for file system access, wifi etc. So leave well alone.
Thanks a lot. Just making it sure. Because my external memory are low. Don't know which file is safe to delete.

But that's in /system which is not on your external sd card, and as far as your device is partitioned, it's not even in your internal sd card.

The best way to make as much space as possible is to backup your internal sd to pc, do a factory reset and wipe internal sd, then restore back anything you need.
Personally I never keep anything of my own stuff such as pictures, files etc on internal sd. I always use external sd. This way I know after I do full wipe I won't lose anything vital to me

Are you asking for a step-by-step guide for your T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy Note 2, SGH-T889, here?

If so, you should post your question in the All Things Root forum for the T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy Note2, SGH-T889 as this is the Samsung Galaxy S4, International, forum and any step-by-step guide would be irrelevant to your model and firmware.

whoopsie....

I fancied trying out alliance rom (didnt wanna play about with any wifi fix's so only stayed on it around 2minutes!) and it suggested your best to use TWRP to flash it, so i hunted down a copy of odin flashable twrp and fashed the rom.

Sadly this wouldnt recognise my CWM backups so i had to go back into ODIN and flash philz....

i had a copy ready and i flashed it..... recovery wouldnt boot :(

Hunt down and download another, newer version, when i realise i may hvae just flashed the i9300 recovery i had downloaded for the mrs :-O.

Fortunately i have now sorted it with the proper one ;) though the latest would download properly for me? :-(

Erm yeah, .... xda ;-)

[ROM][4.4.2] AllianceROM I9505 4.4.2 XXUFNC9 v1 - xda-developers

Should work fine for you with yer knoxified status :-)

It's based on tw but has so so many mods built in to it, think of the way cm mods are built in but quadruple it for the number of them! Also styled on the s5 look :-\ not to my tastes!

As for twrp, if your going to use it, the app wasn't working for me so I had to go hunting for the Odin flashable file :-)

Cheers butty.
This was a DAMN good ROM on the S2. The best, and Goldie is an outstanding dev. (I assume he still does this, and the OP is just the messenger)

If I ever stray back to the dark side (ie. Sammy) then this will definitely be the one I'll choose.
