Dynomat.
My SD Card card does seem writable now. Also, like you said. Wanam seems to work like a dream. Took a bit too get my head around, but got the theaming sorted now.
Add for ROM Toolbox, that's not that important.
Thanks again for your help.
Wouldn't mind a better recovery though. Not sure about flashing another rom yet.
Told you we'd get it rooted

hello every one i have a samsung galaxy note 3 n9005at&t, it use to hang before during normal use i tried to uninstall all the softwares from it which were 3rd party but all in no use and the problem keeps on getting worse and then it starts getting hang at the boot logo.so i with odin put a bootloader file and check on bootloader update and started the process. now all the process was fine it gave me a reset box blue in color.and the phone was disconnected from odin so i removed the usb and connected it again and the RESET changed into PASS then i tried to turn on my phone and its not turning on anyone who can help me , i tried the volume up key home and power button and the vol down key, home, power button but nothing is happening. please help
It does, unfortunately sound from your post that you have "hard bricked" your phone, a risk you always take on flashing anything via Odin to it, but persist in trying to get it into either mode and if you succeed (I eventually got into download mode once with one of my phones after over an hour of trying). If it is hard bricked, I'm afraid it is dead. There is a slim chance of revival at a phones repair shop with JTAG flashing, but that is a specialist piece of equipment and is not that often successful itself. Dynomot, I got many ideas from the solutions you have provided here for Nagrom. Do you have a collection of your ideas to make a complete guide to Note 3 (both processor versions) for rooting that eventually can be posted as PDF for all to see. There are so many advices littered on the net having missing steps that make many people end up screwing up their phones. I am saying this thinking that you may not have updated your guide already posted, keeping it up to date.
... On the Odin screen you have your reactivation lock "ON", turn it "OFF" (menu>settings>general>security> reactivation lock and uncheck.
I have a feeling this is the cause of your troubles....
Im literally having this same exact problem with my samsung galaxy tab 3 7.0 .. do you think you can help ?Ta, yes it does. At work now so can't do much more until this evening. I'll be around from around 9 pm.
NAGROM !
I may have seen your problem. I have gone on to the laptop in the first time in ages and had a look at your "thumb nail" photos (rather difficult on the phone). On the Odin screen you have your reactivation lock "ON", turn it "OFF" (menu>settings>general>security> reactivation lock and uncheck.
I have a feeling this is the cause of your troubles.
Reactivation lock stops anyone wiping your phone in the event it is stolen. You lock it down remotely making it inaccessible to thieving scum. However they factory reset it and wipe it before shipping it off to foreign lands where the IMEI isn't blocked. With reactivation lock on they can't, but neither can you root or flash anything with it.
