Root [International] S3 NeatROM

Nah don't try n use the updater mate. Sale will post updates on here
I think the updater has just been left in from slim rom
With ART I notice apps opening faster and things like scrolling smoother. If you try a benchmark app like Quadrant you can see a big difference. Aparently it should improve battery too but I haven't noticed that

Hey Sale. Do you know if Slim has been hit with the same ART problems as Carbon have?
Carbon are blaming CM and saying "well it was never officially suported anyway" but that seems like a cop-out to me. It worked fine before and works on aosp lol.
Cheers mate

Hey sale. I just gave the latest version of Neat AOSP a flash and i couldnt fix the font size. I have bad eyes so i use 340 dpi. The native dpi settings didnt fix it, apps like texroider didnt fix it. Even editing ro.sf.lcd_density in build.prop didnt seem to fix it.
Any ideas bro? Is there anything else that could be affecting the font size?

Is art working?

I don't know if anyone noticed this but for some reason I can't use some apks with art . the one app is a root explorer . this apk is called rootexplorer the paid version . the next is rom toolbox

RT pro works fine for me with ART bro. Havent tried root explorer, i use ES
Cheers sale, should i try reflashing, edit buildprop, reboot, enable ART then?

Hi Sale, thanks for the new AOSP Rom today, I have installed this and the new Google apps V4, everything seems good except for my Google play, and gmail app and photos app have not loaded, it says 'app is not installed' and I can't download them from the playstore.

I did the 'Installation without wipe (Coming from previous build):' and did everything as stated.

Any idea please.

Thanks for your time and effort
Cheers

ok I have done exactly as you said above, everything seems to be ok now thanks.
Can I assume now that I have the new Gapps V4 (its the only one that I had on my SD card)...lol
Thanks for you help
Cheers
Graham

Sale, one more thing so that I know what I am doing next time:

What is the correct procedure for me the next time I want to update your ASOP rom, Obviously I don't want to lose my setting (which I did not this time)

Thanks
Cheers

System setting preferences should still be stored in data.

The system partition gets wiped anyway by the ROM script. So it still gets wiped, you just don't have to do it manually ;)

Yeah I've noticed rom scripts usually wipe it right at the start. Wonder why a manual wipe was needed with this one?
I forgot to watch the script running

Funkylogik, I did not lose any settings after wiping, that was what I was concerned about.
I previously followed exactly as stated on how to update without a full system wipe, as I didn't want to lose my settings, so I'm not sure what happened, as I felt I had done everything right.... Hey ho my mate Sale sorted me out quickly, he's a top bloke

sure is man. He's a nice guy.
Hey Sale did you ever get that s4 or are you saving for an s5 now mate?
Or are you gona leave samsung behind?
