Help Internet browser keeps "stopping unexpectedly".

Whenever I start my internet browser on my EVO 3D (gingerbread 2.3.4), I get a message: "Internet has stopped unexpectedly. Would you like to tell HTC?"

I see similar messages for many such applications like: "The application Google Services Framework (process com.google.android.apps.gapps) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."

What can I do to troubleshoot the problem?

menu - settings - applications - manage apps- all apps - find internet and clear cache, if that doesnt work, clear data

Tried that. Cleared cache, data, & even pulled battery & did cold boot. Something bad is going on, probably due to an app I installed. I want to figure out how to fix this without having to do full factory restore. Because it is likely to happen again.

well next step is to remove apps one by one starting with the last one that was either installed or updated.
