Ipad 2......no thanks

As anticipated, the Ipad 2 is no competition for the xoom. Spec bump is ok, but they still have that crappy formm factor.

I'll admit I was on the fence about the Xoom, but I'm not really impressed by the iPad 2. The coolest thing they introduced was a cover. Honeycomb is such a better OS than iOS. Hell even the playbook and WebOs are better. iOs is just boring.
 
Overall, it is a better product. The specs are almost identical to the xoom. But it has a far better price and will actually be functional out of the box. You won't have to wait a month or two for flash and you don't have to wait for the tablet ready apps. Ipad 2 is a better product. Sorry

You'll be waiting alot longer for flash than a month or two ;)

if you had the original iPad, what about the iPad 2 would make you upgrade? Really the best thing about the iPad ecosystem is the developer support and iTunes.
 
shouldn't you guys be over at engadget or BGR worshipping Steve-O for allowing you to use an HDMI out via a $40 "accessory"

Cameras, faster processor, HDMi, thinner and lighter, and better accessories.

But for the record, this will be my first tablet.
 
I am a huge Android fan but even I must admit that the iPad 2 does a nice job of competing with the Xoom. Maybe once Flash is available and the SD card port is activated the xoom will have the advantage.
I now am on the fence!!!!!
Hopefully the wifi version of the Xoom will be out soon and priced in line with the new iPad.
 
I think your lost...this isnt engadget or BGR

Go there and talk about how magical and revolutionary a HDMI adapter, a .3 lb weight reduction and a few mm's thickness is. And when you power it on in two weeks, its the same grid of icons of my 1st gen ipod touch.
