Ipad mini looks like weak sauce

I was sure the mini iPad was going to be the usual Apple style front-runner. I am by no means an Apple person, but I have to admit it makes me a little sad to see such a failure, at least as I see it.
The mini really looks like a cheap knock-off of the iPad. And I really do think the iPad is the finest of hardware available in the 10inch range. But that mini reminds me of the pantech type android devices. Just plain coming up short of what they should be.
I do think it is a completely different device in a completely different market and environment than the N7, but I really do think the N7 is a superior product (hardware wise) if you compare them side to side. Software is just plain too dissimilar to compare, and besides, that argument is tired.
All said and done, this is what I expected to eventually happen post-jobs.

Surprisingly enough, the iPad Mini is actually quite interesting to me. In the past, I've thought about buying an iPod Touch solely for gaming. I stayed away because it seemed like such a pain to game on such a small screen. With the Mini's release and a price point only $30 more than the Touch, it's a viable option.
Here's how I see it.
Nexus 7 - Better specs, better OS, lower price and a completely stock OS. (Not to say the iPad isn't, but I can do more tinkering with it.)
iPad Mini - Slightly larger screen with a lower resolution, more tablet optimized apps, better games in the app store, and better build quality.
For these reasons, it's going to be a tough choice for me. I had a Nexus 7 in the past and loved it, but a change is quite intriguing.

Stocks will do that from time to time. Not gonna predict the future price of the stock, but corrections often happen. For fun, take a look at Berkshire Hathaway. Something like $80,000.00 per share.
The market is not yet closed for the day and perhaps you will see a different price per share when the bell rings. Perhaps it will drop even more?
I am not sure why Apple is down. Perhaps some are reacting to the Mini. just a guess.

Lots of things, quite diversified. It is Warren Buffet's company.
Berkshire Hathaway is known for never splitting stock and, like BobMaxey said, is essentially Warren Burrett making investments. Think of it nearer a mutual fund than an actual company that produces a good/service.
I assume you meant to say "too" many.
I am no fan of Apple or the die hard users, in fact I despise the company. But the majority of their users are just as you said, sheeple. Mindlessly following the flock of shiny devices without paying attention to where their dollar is going or what the actual options are out there.
But that is their choice. This (at least where I live) is a free country. I like double cheeseburgers from McDonalds. Is that a good choice? Should I be judged by others for that choice? Maybe. But, we can all do what we want.

Apple has such a strong brand that most people will not look beyond that. I have witnessed that brand having such an effect on a number of people I know. They want an iPhone because it's an iPhone. They've heard of the iPhone and nothing else.
