iPhone '5C'

Goofing off on phonearena.com and look what I came across..

Basically an 'iPhone lite' it's suppose to be a cheaper iPhone with slightly worse camera and CPU (predicted) basically a watered down iPhone 5. Forget the fact you can get the 5 from AT&T for relatively cheap. ($100 upgrade or new customer)

Needless to say the iPhone that will replace the iPhone 5 is most likely going to be a major letdown of this pictures are any indication to their imaginations.

The iPhone 5C is not aimed towards the American Market. Its aimed more towards the Chinese market, where Apple is not so popular, and Android is king. Apple just wants to shine in China where they are not as popular in devices. Though they make them all.

I just don't think their iPhone 5 is even worth that. Look at the S4. It's worth about that much and it has freaking retina recognition. Apple has fallen to an all time low.
 
Well, Apple just about died completely when Jobs left the first time, and now he ain't coming back, so you really had to see it coming. Woz is rocking Android now for further insult lol. Even S-Voice is an improvement to Siri. siri often wanted to search Google lol irony!

With a simple question, 'what's the weather like today'

S-Voice: Sunny with a chance of storm in Owensboro.

Siri: I could not find the information you asked for. Would you like me to search for, 'what's the weather like today'

Granted, Siri has a much nicer voice, while S-Voice uses the crap Google Now voice engine, but still.

Are there any good alternatives as good as Siri? I have huawei Premia 4g and it doesn't have anything like that lol

Apple has always done pretty well in China, but more as a prestigious luxury brand for the affluent, like Gucci or Prada. But it seems now people who would have bought iPhones, many of them are now sporting high-end Samsungs. Also since last year there's been a ban on high-ticket luxury product advertising, which I'm sure has hurt their sales. So by maybe introducing a lower priced iPhone is their way back in.

iPhone 5 16GB in China at the moment is 5288 RMB, which is $864 USD. And if you want the 64GB one that will cost you 6888 RMB, which is $1125 USD....wow!! that's one for the ballers and BMW drivers. All phones in China are off-contract and unlocked.

BTW notice how the RMB prices all have 88s in them. That's for fortune and good luck.

The Iphone5C is not meant to replace the Iphone 5. The Iphone 5S will be the one that replaces it in tech terms. The Iphone 5S is rumored to have fingerprint scanner built in, dual flash, improved camera, and also possibly the new Apple A7 chip inside. Yes i know the chip is supplied by Sammy parts, yes i know many other Android phones have had dual led for a while. Also not to mention with the announcement of the new Iphone's comes IOS7 as well more than likely. Apple is on track to probably have a blow out quarter this fall.

I was just saying I think it was laughable. The only cool thing is the possible biometrics scanner bur android will get their hands on it (probably will outshine apple with retinal scan as a security measure) there is an easy trick to get into a fingerprint scanner. If it doesn't get wiped off all you do is scan your fingerprint and 75% of the time, you're in.

Yeah, you have a point. But Samsung wants to move away from Android and create their own mobile OS to challenge iOS and android. Good luck Sammy.

The iPhone 5C is good news for Apple. Its going to be very successful in other countries. But in the states, it ,may be a not as impressive as people may look down on the user as not being able to afford a top of the line iPhone.

We'll see, that's for sure. It just seems to me. (my personal opinion) that this is a sign that apple is falling on some hard times. It seems to me Android is more than giving apple a run for their money..

Yeah I've used one before and seen it in use more times than I care to even remember. Overall.. I wasn't impressed. Sure it's better than the 4S. The move to aluminum is probably the best part Imo. Is the S4 better? Uh hands down.

If the biometrics scanner is really what will be added that will be cool. But android won't be far behind.

I will be majority impressed with apple when they make their phone retina scan, and actually make their worth the money instead of paying for an apple logo.

Why, because they've identified an area of the smartphone market they've previously ignored? No company that wishes to remain successful and profitable can afford to sit back and rest on its laurels; it's vital to seek out new markets (and thus increase profit and shareholder dividends) in order to grow. Apple are merely looking to that sector of the smartphone market hitherto dominated by mid-tier (or lower) Android handsets.

Unless you don't like Android. Or have small hands. Or dislike large 5" devices. Or rounded corners. What's better for you isn't necessarily so for everyone else. Different strokes, as they say. ;)

Or paying for the Samsung name. :smokingsomb: ...that's what they do here. Simply because it's foreign and thus carries more prestige and cachet than say Huawei, ZTE, Lenovo or Coolpad.

I've encountered envy and desire in just the two months I've had the mid-range white Galaxy Win.
 
For the record, what the heck is a 'biometric' scanner? Anyone else wondering the same? Took me weeks to figure out what NFC was. Every android fan used it to slam Apple but I bet none used it or knew what exactly it was.
