Accessories is a class 10 microsd card overkill ?

Firstly, is the Desire compatible with class 10?

Secondly, is there a noticeable performance difference between a class 4, 6, and 10 ?

I have my eye on a 16gb Kingston class 10 microsd card.
 
Yes it's compatible. Although, for most tasks, class 2 would be acceptable. Class 4 brings a bit of a speed difference and then class 6 brings quite a significant speed increase. Class 10 I would imagine would be pretty snappy, but I don't think it's really worth it for a phone both spec and price wise. Probably the most demanding tasks these cards are ever going to run with our phones are either apps or recording HD video. A class 6 card copes exceptionally well with both of these. I mean if its a price gap of say
 
I have a 16GB Class 2 Sandisk and i have had NO problems and cant complain about speed. Not worth a 10 imo
 
Class 10 probably is a bit overkill. I got a Samsung 8GB Micro SDHC PLUS High Speed memory card Class 6 which is still super fast.
