I have cyanogenmod 6.1.1, but I want to try the oxygen gingerbread rom. If I do a nandroid backup, and then wipe settings and install oxygen, is my nandroid backup enough to get me back to where I was before should it all go wrong or not be what I want?

I hear people metion titanium backup, but that sounds useless if i've already got a nandroid.

Thanks.

yes its enough

titanium backup is good for taking applications and the application data between fresh installs of roms
for example you want to try oxygen, you might want to use titanium to backup your favourite games and apps (with data) so it will restore it to the new rom.

Do I need the paid for pro version, or will the free one do it?

Free one will do it - the paid adds a number of bells and whistles, and supports the developer, but app backup/restore you can do with the free version.

As Rastaman say; nandroid is enough, but you should be aware that Nandroid BU take nearly half a gig of space! On a small SD card this could become an issue. You can move the file from sd\clockworkmod\backup\.......... to your pc and free some space.

after the amount of usb bricks reported, clockworkmod is not going anywhere near my device
seems its getting worse for desire. 1st the 1st nand backup bootloop that he never acknowledged or fixed and now persistent usb bricks
