Root Is Android 4.0 on the Droid X possible?

My gf had a Transformer. It was pretty slick especially with the keyboard dock. I didn't have enough time to mess with it the way I wanted to before she returned it for a laptop. :/

I tether my HP Touchpad all the time during my work commute and having a tablet now makes it so I can live another year till (august contract is up) and then hopefully move on to an unlocked phone where I can stretch the true potential of my phone.

Because of the DX and Moto's refusal to unlock their boot loaders, I've decided that I'll never own a Moto device again, unless Google's partnership dials them back and forces them to stay more flexible. It's almost like Moto doesn't want repeat business, so Google taking over, maybe they'll just dissolve the brand and produce their own Nexus product line as a separate entity.

Its unfortunate that on the hardware front...nobody builds a phone like Motorola...

it is true that moto has the superior makings, and if moto is the next nexus phone, i think i will convince my sister to allow me to steal her upgrade for myself and give her my nexus haha

Running MIUI 1.11.9 atop 4.0.1 and the phone runs like a top, I know its no official OTA but non-the-less... a few force closes at first, but shes running like a champ -

Ya, 4g honestly just dropped in my area and my GF has a stock TB, so I had to do it (even though with this "signal drought" it hasn't had a steady 4g signal yet...) - I be like, "yeah, android 4.0 with 5g" beat that!

That's only the ICS framework, though. You don't get many of the things ICS offers such as hardware acceleration.

and we wont have anything that ics offers because we cannot flash kernels, so no matter what, we wont see true ics unless moto unlocks the beast

i wont be able to get the nexus on launch day, just because finances and bills, cant really spend $300+ on a phone, especially when my DX works just fine for now. but i will be getting it once i can get the funds available

Same boat here...I mean I could afford the phone...but I know ill kick myself in March when my real upgrade date hits and there is something better out there...

So with the holidays just around the corner...the DX will save me some money lol

o no met, i need to pay bills and get christmas gifts for my niece and nephew, and they come before a phone, so i wont be able to get the phone until basically march just like you, however i will still get the nexus, cause in 2 years it will still be upgraded
