Is anyone here using SiyahKernel

anyone tried 1.7.8 yet??

stable?

Seems OK Sydney99 but there again I've not encountered any problems so far with any of the Siyah kernels... except when I enabled the "smartassv2" governer and got lockscreen and freezes. :D

I'm getting random freezes on my phone and trying to look for causes, but presumably then with siyah kernel this tweak comes disabled and has to be enabled, and won't be the cause of my problems....

how did you enable smartass governer?? is that a seperate app??

I did it in SetCPU, from the Market.

The Siyah kernel has 8 different governers. I run my SGSII on "ondemand" normally, which works very well.

However, being adventerous I decided to try a different governer yesterday with my usual configuration of Max: 1600000MHz and Min: 200000.

I disabled my profiles and used the stock voltages but after awhile the phone started to misbehave and freeze/lock-up.

Am now back to the above Max:/Min: (which my SGSII loves) and have enabled my profiles again.

"Nothing ventured, nothing gained", as they say. :D

i dabled with daemon controller, and have since had freezes. removing this feature does not seem to have solved the problem - should I try installing set cpu and using your "on demand" appraoch and see if that works???
