Help Is i9500 octa core?

i9500 is the Exynos version or "Octa core" if you really insist on calling it that.

U.S and International LTE version is the i9505

thanks bro..
what about the storage i have 16 GB one but it shows 8GB total space ?

Samsung bloat will always be there, update or no update.

Unless you root to remove all the bloat of course
Although this is true, there was a quote I read only a few days ago from someone at Samsung saying that they were conscious of the lack of free space on 16GB S4s and that the next update would address the issue.

Quite what that means in practice remains to be seen but the extent of the bloat is ridiculous at the moment and I don't doubt for a moment that they could free up another GB or two if they put their minds to it. The frustrating thing is that I almost never use any of the Samsung apps so I lose a load of space for nothing. It isn't enough to drive me into the arms of CyanogenMod just yet but I can see that happening in time.

yea technically none of them have octacore processors. the internal version is a 4+4 core, only 4 cores are ever active at once. it has the high performance 4 cores, and the battery saving 4 cores, just to clear that up

So do hope the update to fix it?

Samsung did comment that they might free up some extra storage for us in the future but I wouldn't expect much.

Here's a quote from them, so we probably will see some improvement but my guess is it will take months and we won't gain very much,

"Also, we are reviewing the possibility to secure more memory space through further software optimisation."
