Root Is it an issue if.....

My Superuser is the ninja and not the skull & crossbones? Everything seems to be working flawlesly, and I don't want to tinker with it if this is ok. However, if it is definately better to go with the other I'll do it. I just rooted last week, and am running Lithium Mod.

It is just an older version of the superuser app. Not a big deal.

It's really easy to just download and install Superuser from the market. Then you will get the most recent updates just like other apps.

Tried that, but got Istallation failed with yellow triangle. I also got the message "package file not signed correctly".

Hmmmmm...

Maybe try running "Fix Permissions" in ROM Manager. I'm not sure if it will work, but it might help. Maybe try deleting your market cache (not data).

If those don't work, I'm not sure what would fix that seeing as it seems to be a signing issue. Like Bunsen Honeydew said, it's just an older version of the app.

I just found this and I think it should work (hopefully). You can either set ROM Manager up to download OTA from websites (Premium Only) or just download the apk and install the third party way.

Go to this site (Koush's website): My Brain Hurts: New ROM Manager Feature - Web Connect and click on the Superuser link. It is the most recent release.

See if that works. If you have Rom Manager Premium and have set it up to use web connect, it will download directly to your phone.

I even posted in that thread and still forgot about it. That is a sign that I need to stop putting in ~60 hrs/wk at work and ~20 hrs/wk at school!
