Root is it difficult to do or...

with all the clock widgets available today, homepage, lockscreen, etc..., IMHO, i would like DEV's to start removing the status bar clock... makes for a cleaner look... i really don't need 2 clocks on my screen... so far i have found one MOD that works with King's to do this... are there more out there that i'm overlooking??? perhaps i'm the only one thinking along these lines... perhaps...

It's a modification to the services.jar file. If you're using CM, it has the option built in to remove it on the fly. Otherwise, you have to either find a modified services.jar or do it yourself. Of course, it has the same issues as modifying other framework type files. If you flash one meant for another ROM, you're likely to change more than just the one thing you meant to change. That being said, there are all kinds of these floating around over at xda. I can probably find the instructions on how to just do it yourself, as well, if you need.
 
I'm having a hard time finding the specific instructions. If somebody can find it before me, be my guest. Generally speaking, it's probably easiest to just find a modified one made for the ROM you're currently running. I'll look some more tomorrow.
