Root Is it possible to modify CM9 and pre-Alpha CM10 to work on the Admire?

I was at xda-developers and came across this:[DEV] CyanogenMod 9.0.0-RC0-MacBawStudios-UNOFFICIAL-beta9 [going to CM10] - xda-developers
Since there is pretty stable CM9 for the Samsung Galaxy Ace (which is basically our phone but with Touchwiz) then can't a developer modify some things to make it work on the Admire? The Galaxy Ace dev even has Jelly Bean running on the phone which is at the dev's website: Mac

They're not close to the same phone. The ACE has a Qualcomm MSM7227 chipset, a 800 MHz ARM 11 processor and an Adreno 200 GPU....

anything is possible, its updating the kernel drivers i believe to ICS, and its much harder because our devices is armv6 just a guess though

anything is possible especially from source. But if you're talking about a dirty port, then heck no.

Only way to dirty port ics is to have a fully working ics kernel.

as i said in the irc channel, MSM7227t is teh cpu in the samsung galaxy ace/gio. its the turbo (read: factory oc'd) version of the msm7227 (600mhz). this device has the MSM7627t which is its cdma brethren, both are arm6.

the prevail cwm/cm7 was based off the ace version and modified slowly to work for the prevail, the device tree i mean.. so no dirty ports.. clean building from source.

so yes as a matter of fact this is a very good place to start for cm9...

actually still could be done modifying its current kernel ics has no kernel version requirements
