Is it safe to root my phone anymore now that I've updated to ICS?

I updated to ICS. Will the old rooting method still work? I have a feeling I f'ed up big time, and now that I'm on 4.0.3, my phone isn't eligible for rooting. Is this the case?

This attached file should work. It did after I tried out the official ICS. Just flash it through CWM recovery.
