Root Is it that simple?

k so i think i just solved my own problem hopefully. as you may know my tryed to root my phone with unrevoked and it said unable to root, firmware to new? anyway it says S-off but i dont have SU permissions and i wanna unroot and not mess with rooting ever again. so i started looking around and i found this [How To] Unroot and return to stock. - Android Forums
can i use that to turn S-on??? i do know i need an updated one located here

but could anyone verify that it would work?
also i dont have clockwork bootloader, unrevoked didnt make it that far...

I'm pretty sure you need the s-on tool from unrevoked, I don't have a link to it but you should be able to find one by searching for it.

go to the http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all-things-root/194918-rooting-dummies-extras.html under /after rooting/ section 5 unrooting. it is on the list for required files. and just follow directions. i haven't unrooted but it seems easy enough. just make sure that you download the corect zip file for the right hboot you have.

i looked at that guide but unrevoked didnt make it far enough and didnt give me clockwork recovery so how do i flash unrevoked S-on
