There is still hope.
Go the a mobile repair shop and ask them if they could replace your AMOLED Screen(Not LCD) or if you are still under warranty, go the a Samsung Service Center near you.
Or, if you like to take the risk, buy a replacement screen and do it yourself. There are many DIY videos on YouTube about that.
If you have the time and patience, just do it yourself if that is the case. $200-250 is too much for repair. There are many parts that can be bought online for a cheaper price.
If you still have warranty, you can bring it to the nearest Samsung Service Center and have them repair it, just to be on the safe side.

Here's a link to a replacement amoled screen assembly. You didn't mention if you had the black or white one. This is the white one, but black is available too.
I wasn't aware there was a 2nd version. That looks more like the SGH-i777 (AT&T version of the SGS2)
I'm pretty sure that on most newer phones that while you can purchase the parts separately the digitizer and panel are bonded together making it extremely difficult to just replace the one. Just an fyi: obviously that's not ink that you're seeing, that's the liquid part of a liquid crystal display. Good luck and let us know how you make out.
OB
I think it's still closer to the SGH-i777
The model number should be listed in Settings/About phone, and will clear up any confusion.
