Is official FroYo comming to Galaxy Apollo?

I've downloaded a custom rom called InDroid 3.0 Honeycomb it comes with:
* Rooted
* Lagfixed
* Fugutweak added(For that extra speed)
* APN List added (now for APN settings Restore to default will work)
* NEW Looks and feel
* NEW Kernel
* Custom Boot Animation
* HoneyComb Remix Theme
* GPS Perfectly working
* Honeycomb Live wallpaper
* Working ScreenCaptureService
* Data partition converted to ext2
* Kernel supporting ext2,ext3,ext4
* Transparent dialer
* All custom icons

If you want to do this first flash to XXJPF, Then you flash the rom with the same method. Frankly samsung are never going to release 2.2 for the UK, so you might aswell just use this.
And if you're having trouble use this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NY1cySzOh0U it gives you the files and everything.

does it support flash 10.2? atm I'm having issues with installing that on froyo though I should be able to :(

You Can not Uninstall SWYPE in the Galaxy 3 as it came preinstalled with the phone, I spoke to the Techz in Swype,they Said it was a bug from Samsung, and They are having a talk over it, I think they will Fix it soon, and Realease it through Kies Again...

At last Samsung has released Froyo... :)
I was able to ugrade it after a long wait however I found 3 major issues in this
1) Swype not working
2) Live wallpapers are disabled
3rd and most imp Battery isnt last as it used to earlier.
Is anyone else facing these problems ???

There is No live Wallpaper Support in The Samsung Galaxy 3, However there is a Tweak that you can perform to Support Live Wallpaper, But you need to be on the advanced level first of all, below is the website which shows the supported and non supported phones for live wallpaper.

The live wallpaper thing is reasonably simple, i did it a couple of days ago, however the more demanding ones do mess up sometimes, but you just have to set a standard wallpaper then switch back :\

But we know they've released Froyo for Galaxy in India, Belgium and Holland already?
Still hope!

Still no update in Belgium.
The update is available in India, Netherlands, France, Italy and spain as far as I know.

People, if you're from the UK just flash it. Once you actually flash it you'll see how extremely simple it is. Just a couple clicks and you're done.

And if we end up with a broken phone, what happens then are you going to replace the phone for us lol...theres that small thing called a warranty...its invalidated if you do such a thing as that.

on the samsung note, it is ridiculous that they are stalling so much and not giving people an actual answer, if there are roms out there to flash then why oh why are they not releasing it officially in the UK...the phone can handle froyo so if they say otherwise they should check their own specifications, half the time when rep's reply to a email their just reading off a sheet of pre-written answers and don't actually have the upto date info themselves...but i am really losing faith with samsung how they justify releasing froyo for the galaxy S but not for the lower end phones its disgusting...and sad that they seem to have forgotten the loyal people who keep them in business, having used samsung for the past 7yrs i really am thinking of switching when my contract is up....

How will it get broken?
Anyway the Support people don't really care

If this update doesn't mess with the Radio (I believe it doesn't) the only risk is a power spike - which has nothing to do with Updating

You only live once, don't be miserable :)

Stupid Samsung. They said April all the time. Now we're end April and still no shit. I will never buy any Samsung Android phones if the support continues like this.

Your only option is HTC so
Or LG

It can be broken in so many ways by a user like me! Talk of rar. files and tar. files fill me with dread.

Life is too short though, so will give it a go at weekend - if anyone knows for sure whether 5800 froyo fix also works on 5801s.

I did it on Galaxy 5s which ended in 01 as opposed to 00
should be grand

Well its finally here FROYO FOR THE APOLLO I5801 IN THE UK YAAAAAAY:D.

:(But be warned you will have to do a factory reset if its anything like the way mine went it threw up some logs provider error message which forced me to to the factory reset:confused:...and make sure you back up your contacts or save them to your sim card..i forgot :mad: but thankfully orange had backed up my contacts this morning so i can just restore them...so far everything is semi okay runs fast after a couple of switch off and ons...its alot faster and smoother running as well..i'll hopefully keep ya'll posted as to how i find it :)

still nothing for Belgium, i take it their gonna release everywhere then (eventually). will this be the last upgrade for the apollo?

Yeah apparantly from what i have read the Apollo is only upgradable to froyo, no chance apparently of getting gingerbread or whatever it is lol...im just happy to have froyo now :) just a damn pain getting it to update through keis and then having to factory reset
