Hello Everyone, I'm new to the forum and I have a question. Is TacoRoot still a valid root method for an HTC EVO 4G running HBOOT 2.18.0001 (Locked with S-On)(Never rooted) Android 2.3.5 build 5.07.651.6?
I've been giving the method a try and I end up with the following error after I run tacoroot.sh --setup:
rm failed for /data/data/recovery/log, Permission denied
link failed File exists
I've completed numerous hours of Googling and thread reading, but unfortunately most of the activity/discussion pertaining to my particular situation is quite dated (as expected )
It appears that my only other option at this point is HTCDev. However, before I went that direction I wanted to check to see if anyone out there had any insight.
