Is the 3D the best? Or is it missing something?

I'm really hoping they find out a way to build a kickstand into the battery door/phone, or even offer a replaceable battery door with maybe a little added thickness that includes the kickstand for those who want it. If the reason they were holding out on info was so they could work on an addition of a kickstand, I totally wouldn't be mad. lol

Careful what you ask for - this is not a made-up product for the HD2:

Ok, yeah, that's fairly hideous from my admitted OC perspective. It does bring up something else. I wouldn't mind seeing an extended battery combined with a replacement rear battery cover. That would be interesting to see how much heft it would add.

I watched a tech tv show over the weekend that was demoing NFC chips that can be put into any phone, they even showed an iPhone using one and Apple has made no statement on whether they will adopt NFC, but there it was being used.

So I'm not overly concerned about the 3D not having NFC built in, as it may be possible to slot one in at a later date.

As I don't upgrade till the end of the year, it's always possible that HTC will announce newer phones anyway!

About the only thing I can think of that I'd like to see on the phone is an Amoled display w qHD resolution (but with an RGB subpixel matrix). Since that screen doesn't exist I'm not going to whine too much about it.

My biggest wish is that the phone performs as well as I hope it will... good phone reception/sound quality, good cpu speed (especially for browsing), all day battery life w/o tweaking and solid 2D photo/video quality.

One thing I would have liked to have seen is them making more of an effort to show off the 3D which is the unique selling point of the phone.

The LG optimus 3D has a physical '3D button' that takes you straight to a 3D menu, from which you can access all your 3D content in one place, i.e. 3D games, 3D gallery, youtube 3D, 3D apps, the camera

As far as I know there is no such 3D menu that takes to straight to 3D content on the Evo 3D? It would be nice to have, and it would be cool to show to friends when they inevitably ask what the 3D on the phone is like, you could just click the button and let them play around with the 3D menu.

The only things I'd really want is a qHD s-amoled-+ but it doesn't exist so that's like asking for a pink elephant. Hehe

A larger internal memory would be nice. An 8mp camera would have been nice. Other than that the phone is darn near perfect.
