Is the Note worth buying if?

Would it still be worth buying if im not artistic or do business things on it? this thing cost a lot.... but its like a 2 in 1. tablet/phone.

You could do a whole lot more than just sketching and business stuff with this thing. With the screen size, resolution, processing power and being a future-proof all-in-one device, I think it will be worth every penny.

I have similar question as the OP.

I am wondering if this will be very useful for people who DON'T have a tablet already but carry around high-end Android phones.

Like the above post... it does seem like this is a very good 2 in 1 machine.

Can't wait to at least see a demo in person.

Forget about art, how about having every PDF in your laptop or desktop on your phone and easily readible? Maybe if you must have a tablet it's not so important but if you don't, it offers very convenient ways to access, data, references, even case files, tax returns, schedules and a workable size for Excel.

I won't be using mine for business or sketching, I think if you can take the size then its a great option.

Same here.

What also bugs me is when this device gets slated for having a stylus, like they think it NEEDS stylus to work. I see it as an added bonus, that I will probably rarely ever use. Because I'll rarely ever use it, should I buy a phone that doesnt have one?

Hell no! It still has everything and more than any other smartphone can offer, and will get ICS. My main draw to this device is its size, but I even sometimes wonder if it may be too small... I think I could go to 6" quite comfortably

Hah, like when Engadget rated down the Atrix for having a dual-core processor, because software didn't take advantage of it yet. :D

Even being an artist, I don't see myself using the stylus much, but it's a neat thing to have if I ever did need it.

Now as soon as it drops below NZ$1000... :D

Yeah, but one of the big keys to this device is that it can fit in any pocket.
Once it's not pocketable, you might as well jump straight to 7"+.

They could maybe go to 5.7" if they lose the hardware buttons.

I think the stylus will be quite useful once ICS comes out and you start running tablet apps on the note. Those buttons/menus will be pretty small.

I agree. The stylus will enable screen items on the Note to be selected without the need for a non-pocket-able phone to make the same thing possible using a finger.
