Root is the unrevoked team still working on 100% root method?

Yeah i believe they are. They have an extremely easy root app for the evo and hero and i'm assuming they are working on having it adapted to the incredible.

I finally got into recovery last night and made it to the last step only to see "Signature verification failed" for 3 straight hours. So close...

Just keep trying. Eventually it'll work. It can be frustrating but the payoff is worth it.

You have to run that 1.bat file after each attempt. If you don't the update.zip file wont be correct and will fail the signature test. I'm guessing that was your problem.

Thanks for the feedback,

I was running the 1.bat and overwriting the files, it just seems like the progress bar flashes on my phone much faster than in the "10 min root video". I'll give it another try tonight. Congrats to those that have root, I just hope the Unrevoked Team realizes there are some of us who still need an easier root method (Willing to donate).

is the method we have now not 100%, or are you just asking for a super easy one like what they have done for the EVO?

I'm hoping the Unrevoked boys come through once again. I can't get it using every method and driver combo listed on this website.

I was trying for couple hours useing sd card that came with phone... then found my old LG chocolate and it had a 512 mb samsung one... worked but took alot of trys... i think i got it from having sd card out until ~last second before triangle then put back in.

From everything I've read (and this worked for me as well), if you use the A-Data 16gb Class 6 card (which is a good sd card to begin with) and windows 7, you'll have no issues getting root access.
