Root Is there a clean standard vanilla dx rom that is deodexed?

I would think this would be the easiest way to deodex.. just install a vanilla unchanged rom that is already deodexed.

Has anyone provided this anywhere?

I'd be very surprised to hear that any modern rom isn't deodexed. If themes are available it has to be. I assume you're on the latest android version, 2.3.340?

Sounds like you want a Blurry rom. Normally only the bloat is removed and you still have all the Blur apps you're used to.

Rubix Blurry 2.3.320 comes to mind. Supposed to have a version updated for 340 out any day that improves battery life. I think it has a stock appearance.

Apex 1.31 is pretty good. You'll probably need to configure it a bit more since some of the Blur is removed by default. It has a black theme by default. I re-added the stock alarm clock, office and blur email.

Make your you're rooted, have recovery and a backup program like Titanium installed before installing any rom. You'll want to have a current Titanium (file) backup and at least one stock image (recovery) before installing a rom. That's your ticket to the next OTA.

You should be able to go from stock to either of these roms without a factory reset so you'll still have all your data and settings.

If all you want is a theme, deodexed is fine.

If you think you're going to remove some bloat, I'd go with a rom.

agreed ,,,too many people just root to remove bloat then cant figure out how to restore and cant ota....using a rom that will remove it and restoring a nandroid is easier then restoring and keeping track of what you may have and may have not removed
