Root Is there a definitive PRL for Triumph?

I've been running CM7 since the alpha's that Tickerguy released, and before that I had modded my PRL. My work signal is so bad I'm forced to live on Wifi everyday. Is there a definitive PRL file that does have better reception? I wish VM would roam on VZ Towers :(
 
I would recommend googling the latest sprint prl's. Since you've done it before, I think you'd know how to install it. Hold on while I search for the official sprint prl list.

only problem is as far as I recall, you have to flash back to stock to be able to change PRL, or has that been fixed?

I know a nandroid backup should be pretty straight forward but I have never really done it I think. I know I did a backup when I originally loaded CM7.

know of a good tutorial/procedure to do it?

Updated to 60638 PRL so let's see how improved it is.. for what its worth the old PRL I was running was from 7/15 so its a good 4.5 months old?
 
How do we change the PRL?

What's the advantage of changing it, is it suggested just as something to do, because currently my signal is good, just some areas I go it lacks.

well it doesn't let you roam but ive noticed faster data speeds probably since its a sprint prl and not a virginmobile one

It can help with signal issues, but depending on your location it may not do anything. It can't hurt to try as you can always switch back.

There is a link in the Motorola Triumph Root Guide with instructions. It has to be done on stock 2.2 btw. But the changes stick between ROM switches.

How do you backup your prl or do you just have a stock prl that I can use if I want to go back???
 
I believe it is the same process, just with the original prl that you add instead of a different one.
By the way I don't have any of it myself, I am happy with the stock prl, but I know how the process works.

Sorry! If you have no signal it won't help unless there are new Sprint towers closer to you, listed in the update. But if you do have a weak signal it can help some by giving you the priority that is given to Sprint customers over Boost, VM and Straight Talk they are all useing the Sprint network now. Straight Talk does not use Sprint exclusively. only for there 1 Android phone. that I know of.
 
Just because it's "newer" doesn't necessarily mean better. PRL 1115 (older than your original) went to some sprint commercial customers to allow roaming on Verizon towers in some markets. May or may not help you where you live, and may not help at all with VM. Trying to test now, but I'm stuck until I can get the damn Moto drivers to load.

i thought the update would include what the previous prls had and more only thing is some are business and the other is not

Either way it won't let us on verizon towers
