Root Is there a work CyenogenMod for the X?

On their site there is one listed for the original Droid, but nothing for the Droid X. They state its due to the locked bootloader, but other ROMs seem to run just fine on X.

I would love to try CyenogenMod on my X. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

LOL. Ok. Fair enough. Just curious as to why not, seeing that other ROMs are being developed for the X even with "the reason I stated".

The closest to a true cyanogen for our X would be Ultimate Droid. It's still in early development but it is making tremendous progress towards final release. There are still serious bugs in it as it stands.

All current ROMs are based on the official Motorola firmware. "From source" ROMs like CyanagenMod cannot be installed because of the bootloader.

I just saw my swype fail typo. Release Candidate 3 is supposed to drop sometime today or tonight. From what i understand, USB is still glitchy. I dont think it will be a daily ROM just yet but every release so far has been better then the previous.

They've been waiting for it to drop for the past few days. BlackDroid facebooked that he was concentrating on getting in out for the Droid2 and DroidX today though, so hopefully today is the day indeed.
