I think its selling for $350 at sears which is a great price for this unit. Go get it! :)

glad you got it working! viewsonic would be selling a whole lot more of these things if they would just put a vanilla android OS on them. TnT lite is great, but the majority of people have no clue that it even exists... much less how to root/install it.

Grabbed one of these a few thursdays ago, and simply googled how to root it. (found a 3 step thing -- not including market and flash fix) took about 2 hours (rooting newbie) XDA-developers.com is your friend!

HIGHLY recommend this if you can root it. stock software is TERRIBLE.

thanks for posting that link..

has anyone put clockwork recovery on this thing yet? i was looking at the instructions on xda forums and i read that you have to have a micro sd card first? can someone confirm?

I installed clockwork using the update zip plus recovery method and I put those files on my internal sd. I think the use of the microsd card is for precautionary purposes, it probably is a good idea but I have not done it myself.

thanks everyone for the rooting info.. this is the first forum I check out on android-related info, its kind of a pain going everywhere else...

Yes sir. I'm assuming that's how u got tntlite on your tablet.

hmmm didnt work..i put the unzip files on the root of the tablet (same way i installed TnT lite and when i boot into recovery i get a triangle with an exclamation mark and it just reboots back to the main screen...maybe you have an sd card?

There are 2 FS mounted to root on the Gtab...

- /sdcard (is root typically for a real SDcard but on this tablet it actually the internal available memory)

- /sdcard2 (Real SDcard If installed...)

As that triangle tells me your still using the stock recovery (vs. Clockworks) then you want to use '/sdcard' (Not real SDcard in /sdcard2) as the root for the recovery... so try copying files to /sdcard...

No I dont't have a sd card in the external sd port. Like jb said, try it again and make sure its in the root of ur internal memory.
