Okay so i can get qpst to recognize the port but for some reason i can not get this thing to access the phone or connect to it in any way shape or form... all i get is connection error unspecified reason.... if you can you should hit me and let me know how you got it to read.... if so i feel confident i can get the IMEI back to what it should be ...

Mine is reading right off the QPST Configuration window, there are no real special instructions I used and mine worked out the box (2.7 build 3.66), I do have the multiple driver sets installed. Connected via ethernet. I've tried many different ways with this and QXDM and can't get past because of being locked. I also could not get Revskills to read the NV to insert the hex IMEI myself, maybe it just doesn't work with this phone or because of the lock? I have no idea, not that smart with this file system.

I think I may have found lgnpst 2.0.29 and the corresponding dll

I will confirm later
That would be nice.
I found a 1.3 version and posted it over at XDA and I think someone else has 1.3 too.
Having issues with VZW network in our area and don't want to try until issue is resolved, that way I know which it is.

I'm on ics and everything is working beautifully, but I did it with a service center jig, so maybe that's why there have been no issues

I was referring to the mtp. That wasn't there before. I'm easily amused, so shut up.
Easy tiger, I wasn't being flippant. It looks different than the GB skin, so it appeared, at first glance, to be a viable tether method, which IS surprising, since VZ makes people pay for that feature.

Small note, it seems as thou a newer .cab file is now on the server. Has anyone found a way to get around the forbidden download yet?
Not likely, since that error is due to needing login credentials to view. How did you get that link? That might offer me some clues as to how to get to it without credentials or FTP.

Number brute force. The old link died so I just went sequentially thru the numbers until the next forbidden link came up.

Careful... More sophisticated networks will see that as a port scan attack or sql injection attempt (same method) and may ban your ip or report you to authorities if they think it's a legit attack.

whats with the white shyt in the screenie??? Let me guess vzw done went n screwed with a already perfect looking ui

:(

Careful when you do stuff like that... that was a tactic for hackers in the 80s and 90s, so the authorities don't take it too kindly if you're caught tricking someone into getting access for someone you're not supposed to have. It's actually illegal to gain access to a restricted system under false pretenses, so tread lightly.

Social engineering FTW. Easiest method of hacking into someone's account, easy to hide the tracks, but negative hacker points for not actually hacking and just being a *****e... :P

Looks like builds jumped again...
http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/swdat...K/VS920ZV7_14/VS920ZV7_14.S7_14.P58014.R5.cab

Interesting.... Watching the http packets come from the LG Mobile update tool and it sees the ZV7 cab...

Update: So i found the User-Agent of the LG Mobile Update Tool (LGE-ActiveDP/0.9) and used UserAgent Switcher add-on for firefox and went to the URL of the cab, hoping to trick the server....It was a no-go.... :( Still says forbidden.....

The reason I tried that is because it says:

Forbidden

Your client is not allowed to access the requested object.
So I hoped (had my doubts) that a simple spoof of the User-Agent would get me where I should[not] be......Apparently not...

Hey, +100 for trying.
I think they are testing us to see if we will give up the exploits so they can try to patch it before release.

Either that or the bit about the World radio functionality requires a certain time frame in order to become valid.

We would need a mole within the legal department of VZW or someone who can access the contract active date by way of the fcc.

Just thinkin outloud.

Was just thinking this the other day.

I'm sure waiting (PATIENTLY kind of) for an update especially since they said 1st half of 2012. Bet we'll have to wait to see what happens. In the world of poker, hold ur hand close.

Ok all I have been running fine with my leaked ICS V7 LG Spectrum for about a month now with no issues other than root, but tonight something new happened. After getting off the phone with my wife I had a notification saying that alot of programs are wanting access to my gmail account that is step up on the phone. The big ones being hidden LG menu and Shutdown Monitor this led me to believe that VZW is looking at leak ICS. So I'm promptly switching back to v6. Dont know if this means ICS is rapidly coming on not just wanted to get the word out.

It most likely signifies that they are closing down that dev version. Most devs should have moved up to one of the newer builds anyways, and it's a good way to keep everyone current.
