Root Is this normal battery consumption?

Say i browse the web for 30 minutes straight with the screen going off maybe 2 or 3 times, I'll eat 20% of my battery.

This is with brightness all the way down, no apps running, 240mb ram and moving between 2 sites.

Is that normal consumption or do I have a problem?

Nope but a good way too figure out how much more the actual user interaction and surfing actually is eating up is to set phone to nitty turn off screen and sit at home screen got 30.minutes and compare the percentage drops. It ask depends on what apps are doing in three background, brightness, how much you are touching the screen, what browser, all things like that.

I'll give that a try and see what i come up with. I didn't think it was right but i don't have anything to go off of.

Plus most of my apps are frozen while i was doing this, i'm using mini opera at the moment, vibrate, no sounds, etc..... Bare minimum.

4g will do that. I've killed my battery in 4hrs playing zenga poker on 4g. Older batteries have a weak spot at full charge and towards the last 10%, atleast mine does.

I use juice defender ultimate and love it. I've always had it set to enable and disable data with the screen. Well being that 4G eats so much i turned data completely off and added a widget and the option in the status bar to quick enable data.

Honestly don't know why I didn't do this sooner being that just because you turn on your phone doesn't mean you need data. Maybe this will help as well.
