i was going to buy a Motorola triumph before my parents made me switch to MetroPCS. i guess i am a Technophile and i had to have the Esteem. I have it but i cant open it until Christmas :mad::mad::mad: i used to score over the forums for the triumph and now the esteem and i have seen some people complaining about how we cant download certain games and use certain apps. i was reading an article the other day, is it true we cant use Netflix and some other apps on this device?

there was a similar case on the Motorola triumph with virgin mobile stopping downloads of certain apps or they just don't appear in the market at all. this person(link below) edited props somehow and made the android market see the Motorola triumph as a HTC Thuderbolt. Could we do something like this or is it not possible at all.

Why'd you post it in both the forum and the sunforum? And as prime85 said netflix works fine, actually I think the revo was one of the first phones to have it and everyone was flipping out lol a better solution would be to change it to that of the revo so we can be made available to what really works for our phones since no one seems to acknowledge the esteem on the market ;)

Also some roms change this, like my old optimus m thinks its a samsung

I lol'd this. Every app that I have installed on this little machine has worked perfectly. Once again its not about the Phone But the user!. Also I have netflix and I have watched several movie really fine . I had even watched them over 4G. So don't worry .
This phones fit your needs at least.

Because the whole reason for the thread is this kid doesn't know what he's talking about. He thinks Netflix doesn't work on the Esteem or can't be downloaded from the Market. Both those ideas are erroneous in a major way. Thus, no need for this thread.
 
If you're worried about games and stuff lol... don't. It plays pretty much everything i've thrown at it, from playstation 1 emulators to regular games. I'm not crying over the *rare* ocassional game that doesn't open as that falls into the developer's hands to try and fix or work around such things. To be honest, I think there's only been like 1 game I couldn't play, and only because the game exited for no reason, it was some sort of bug.
