Is Tomorrow the Day for Android 2.??

dang it!!! wanna know my opinion??? all these dates seem to be bunch of BS :( i think Verizon will only say "bend over" and move on to the nxt hoe (nexus 1). i dont know just my opinion. i mean ...isn't that wut happened with all the donuts still around???? :\

****NOTE: EDIT=> Spoke with a Verizon Rep and according to the guy there's no Firmware scheduled any time soon. So apparently we're stuck with 2.0.1 *grunts. ****

I have no idea what you said here.

Updates: It has already been stated by Verizon and HTC that the Eris will get 2.X with Sense UI.

Dates: Nobody has confirmed any sort of date for anything other than the generic "by the end of Q1 2010".

Nexus: Verizon will get it.

Donuts: They are tasty, yes. Not really relevant to this conversation though.

Well I'm sure he'll speak for himself, but he did have "bend over" and "donuts" in the same post.

I'm thinking he was not necessarily referring to eating them.

first...i believe android firmware are given names hence: cupcake, donut, eclaire etc etc

2nd...hoe i meant whore...but didnt want to b explicit sorry lol

3rd...and since verizon hasn't said anything i believe they'll jus screw with ppl that need updates. (again im only speaking for ppl under verizon) all others i got no comment on the matter :D

1 Yes, but cupcake is 1.5 which is the current OS for the Eris.

3 Verizon has stated that the Eris will get 2.x by the end of March.

2 we know and enjoy messing with you.

So how is the donut farm coming along?

Got an email from HTC too.

"Thank you for taking the time to contact HTC regarding your inquiry about updating your device to Android 2.1.

I understand how important it is for you to have the latest software available for your device. If your device is branded to a carrier we work with them to determine which of their branded HTC devices will receive software updates. If your carrier does not request an update for the device we cannot create or host it. For the most up to date information regarding your carrier

Not sure. When you wake up tomorrow morning, though, it should be there if you are in the first batch. I don't think it happens in the middle of the day. It happens sometime early morning and that's it until the next day when the next batch comes out.

I'm going off of what I've read on here, that people wake up to it, not it pops up in the middle of a text while on the crapper.

They roll them out in batches and usually in the early morning. Some people will get an update on day one and others on day five. Don't get upset if it isn't there in the morning.

It's been my experience that "Verizon Employees" always have less information than the partly in the know people in a good forum. Sure they have badges but badges? We don't need no stink'n badges! I'd put more stock in Caddyman than an employee.
