Help Is Touchdown screwing up my 2.2 Droid X - bricked

My Droid X is completed bricked since updating to 2.2 an hour ago.

Note: This is a stock Droid X. I never rooted or modified anything.

The only thing non stock is that I am using the Touchdown app that Motorola gave me to access my Exchange mail, calendar, contacts etc.

Is Touchdown the culprit in this bricking?

Is Touchdown fighting the Exchange code?

gotta give a little more info here. What happens when you turn it on do you boot up at all? Do you get the motorola logo or the bootloader screen?

If you are actually booting up the whole way and its just running really bad that a factory reset may help.

If you are getting to the motorola logo but not past I would try turning it on while holding the home button to get into recovery and from there do a factory reset. Beyond that I think you will have take it to vzw.

I'm using Touchdown with two Exchange Accounts set up, along with numerous other apps, and this did not happen to me after the update. Some other issues exist for sure but it isn't bricked.

Now my X is working fine except for getting "stuck" on some settings in the Settings menu.

Maybe I should do a factory reset. But I'm worried about losing my apps.

you will lose your apps but they should redownload on their own when you get back up and running. You will lose their data and there isnt any getting that back without rooting before doing the factory reset.

There is an app on the market called app list that simply creates a list of all the apps you have installed and saves it on your sd card. Do that and if nothing else you will have a list to work off of to get your apps back.

You can also download MyBackup and it will save all your settings and apps for you. I think you may have to reinstall the apps, but you don't have to go find them again. But it will put your screens back like you had them if you choose that option.
