Root Is washed out screen gone when using CM7/CM9?

ya know some of the triumphs out there that have an issue where if you hit the left button to bring up the screen more than once, too fast after doing it, the screen goes really bright (sometimes) then you hit it again and its normal?

any of you running CM7 or CM9, is that still an issue?

there was a thought that it was a software problem, not hardware.

just curious as mine does do that. minor annoyance but everything else about my phone is perfect so don't want to return it just for that especially if it is software and not happening with a CM Rom.

I'm running stock Froyo.

I dont think it is a software issue, as the problem still exists in CM7, CM9 or MIUI. I dont find it that disturbing, because it goes away really easily.

I haven't noticed it in CM9, but it never happened that often to me anyway. So I can't say for sure.

I would guess that it is a hardware (digitizer?) issue, but as it happens so rarely and is pretty easy to fix, I haven't done any real testing to find out. :(

I noticed it when I was on stock briefly. But have never had it happen again on CM7. It does still flicker when turning back on right after off, briefly displaying the content of the screen from before, then switches to the lockscreen.

When I was on the stock OS, I got the washed out screen a lot. Since I installed CM7-reloaded, it seems to be fixed for me.

I think that it may actually be a hardware bug or maybe deep within the kernel, because on every rom I have used I would get it at about the same frequency which usually isn't very often. And I have used a lot of roms. CM7, CM7-Reloaded, Miui, CM9, Stock for like a week, Andro-ID (just for a little).

This I have not been able to figure out.

My sister and I both have this phone, both had problem on stock.Uphraded both to CM7, she never got it again, I still got it as normal. Upgraded to CM9, haven't had it happen once....

I never had this happen to me on stock, but I was only on stock until I got home from Radioshack. I've had it happen several times on CM9. Easily dismissed by turning the screen off and back on. What I wish didn't happen is my back button not working and having to turn the screen off and back on to get it to start working again.
