Root Issues with clockworkmod

I'm trying to install Cyanogenmod on my LG Optimus V and well when I try to boot it into recovery it just gives me a black screen after the LG logo. Anybody know what's up with it?

Only things I've done to it after rooting using Gingerbreak:

- Downloaded apps: Superuser, Chrome to phone, Facebook, Juicer Defender Plus, ROM Manager, ROM Toolbox, Root Uninstaller.

Also deleted some bloatware using Root Uninstaller.

I put a workaround for the black screen in there. Will be posting a YouTube tutorial on "The Truth about Rom Manager and the Optimus V" shortly.
After installing the ADB sometimes the phone doesn't respond to: adb devices on the command prompt. Don't worry about it, just continue with the rest of it.
