Help Issues with market and internet

Hi everyone, I'm just looking to see if anyone else is having similar issues to me. Currently my Evo is having serious problems with accessing the market and the internet in general. I am in good 3G coverage, yet it seems anything to do with the internet is not working correctly. For example if I open the market I get error messages, Facebook App is the same thing. I try to run a google search and the page never loads. Even my weather widget is not pulling my location or anything, though the temp seems about right. This has been going on for the last couple of days and has never happened before, so I thought I would ask to see if anyone else has had issues like this and if so ask how to correct it.

I hope I explained this in a way that makes sense and thanks for any help.

I am having the exact same issues and after a new phone and over a hour on the phone with Sprint the tech had just received an email that it was nationwide and not everyone was effected. They were working on it but no ETA.

When you have no internet/data, is your 3G indicator in the status bar there or gone? I've been having an issue where my mobile network just "turns off" (3G indicator gone but signal strength bars remain) then comes back for a few minutes at at time. In the wireless and networks settings, it shows the mobile network option checked on, but greyed out, and is stuck saying "turning on..."

I'm having the same issue with my Sprint Evo. I live in Cleveland, OH. The 3G indicator shows in the status bar but I am unable to load web pages. This also causes issues with Google syncing properly. The market is loading very slow and sometimes not loading at all. These issues have been been occurring for the past few days. Mobile network is checked under Menu, Wireless & networks and it says it is connected.

I was experiencing the market & general data outage yesterday and today but only when on 3G. If I'm on wifi, everything returns to normal. I have a lot of co-workers who have Evos and Epics and you guys are right, not everyone is affected. Some load just fine and others get the retry errors. This issue is killing my battery too. Took it off the charger at 9am & an hour later it's at 80% & the phone is hot. I hope they resolve this issue soon or they (Sprint) need to provide some sort of credit.

Wow. My wife was experiencing the same exact thing. I played with the phone last night and... nothing. I noticed the thing with the weather location just saying, "Current Location", and not where we actually are. She also had a voicemail notification icon at the top of the screen, but no voicemail. I went into menus to try and clear the icon, but that option was grayed out as if there was nothing...well, there actually wasn't a vm...

Hate to say this, but I am glad she is not the only person to be experiencing this. Which means that there will be a definitive fix for the issue. Just happy its not the device. I think.

I got the same exact thing happening. Called Sprint this morning and was on the phone with one guy for an hour and he couldnt figure it out then transferred me to another guy who told me that theres some network problems and they are trying to fix them.

I'm having the same Google Search issues in Chicago, along with "Current Location" being displayed instead of Chicago.

Wi-fi searches are fine, and if I go to Yahoo.com in the browser and execute my search, it works fine as well (although a little slower).

Hopefully they'll fix this soon!!!!

this is the second day this is going on from mid morning to afternoon and i notice it a few days ago seems it will be a daily issue

yes. there are several posts about this currently on page one and two of this forum...they just all have odd names.

from the posts it would seem sprint has no idea there is an issue

I did forget to mention that my 3G indicator is on and I am showing full bars when this happens. Some web pages load, slowly, but load none the less and others just don't seem to work ie google. I should also mention I am in the Dayton, OH area for reference.

Also I have noticed this is KILLING my battery. Yesterday I went from 89% at 7:10AM to about 50% around 10:30ish.

I'm glad to a large degree I am not the only one having issues, though it sucks that so many are also having issues. I do thank you guys for chiming in though and letting me know this seems to be nationwide. Here's hoping it's fixed soon. and finally, I see this got moved to the correct forum and I do apologize for posting in the wrong place. :)

Just got back from a Sprint repair center near Chicago. They say Sprint knows but has no idea what it is. She said they can do nothing and we just have to wait it out.

All this after the lady on the phone had me reset my Evo. So frustrating.

I am having trouble with 3G and 4G. Very slow access to the market regardless of my signal strength. Websites loading very slowly. I am have battery issues as well. I think the battery problems are due to the syncing not working properly or taking way too long. EVO just keeps trying to sync leading to the burden on the battery. Been about 3 days for me. I am in Chicago.

Finally back to normal. City name appeared in the weather and the market works again. Internet is also back to normal speed on all sites. Hope this is the end.

I tried turning it back on to download the Angry Birds update and everything seems to be back to normal. (Knocks on wood)

just left the sprint store I toke my phone in with the same problems, no internet, no market, no gmail nothing and having problems sending texts with full bars in milwaukee. The tech said that the sprint network has been down all weekend for android devices and they are aware of it and should be back up with in 24 hours, they also said google is having problems right now which is why the market keeps crashing and wont dl apps. hopefully all of our problems are fixed soon it is very frustrating have no internet or emails

I stream audio from radio station's web sites. The "data issue" is causing the audio to stream REAL SLOW! It sounds kinda trippy... like trying to play a 45 record on 33.3 speed. Guess some of you have no idea what I'm talking about. lol
