It's a Tablet, It's a Phone, It's $749.99

I believe it's called the Samsung Note, I played with one last night, and I'm gonna buy one. I've been waiting for something like this, a bigger phone, or a smaller tablet that works as a phone.

Who else is in? Who's waiting for HTC to come out with one?

What are your thoughts?

hi... ya its a 5.3 in phablet and they make a 10 in note tablet now as well...im waiting to c if it ever makes it to sprint...i do like the drawing with the stylist..sort of kool

Is that what the Note costs? Ho-lee-spit. If I ever decide I need a phone to big to carry or a tablet to small to use I'm on the wait for two years and watch the price go down by half train.

I think it's pretty cool. I know there are times when I wish that I had more screen space, and a stylus might be cool for somethings - though I can only think of drawing... which would be pretty lousy as a 'selling' point. It might be too big though... I know that my evo puts a bit of a squeeze in the pockets.... not sure. I'll see how it looks in person (if sprint ever gets one.)

:D

hi... that price has to b unlocked..i thought i saw it for 299$ at at&t... cause thats more than almost all the tablets out as well as projected price of the 10 inch note just shown this last world show is less than that

you are correct sir. it will be cheaper with a contract. but who really has the space to carry such a thing. i cant even imaging holding that thing up to my ear. and who knows how much radiation that thing gives off to my head. lol

anything bigger then the evo is too big.

hi...yes i agree .......theres a reason theres no dialer in a tablet... too big to hold to ur face unless ur a cartoon character.lol

Right now the note is about the only phone I would consider replacing my evo with. Wait I take that back the note and the gnex.

Once I don't have to hold my phone to my head, and data is fast enough to make video calls 100% to everyone I contact, then I'll get something that big. ;)

I really don't get to keep my phone in my pocket that often, I'd crush it. :D

I wouldn't mind a touch more real estate than the OG, but the Note is just too big. I played with one last week. Very nice and all, just not my thang. :)

Ultimately this is what I want:

It's just too big. I took a look at it when I bought my Nexus and man, it's just not practical. I'm a big guy, 6'4" and at least 240 lbs, but even I can't pull off a phone like that.

Where do you even put it? My Nexus barely fits in my pocket (actually it peeks out of the pocket in most boot-cut jeans I wear). If I carried a purse it might make sense.

Cool phone, great battery life, but I'd rather just have a phone and a tablet. Just an aesthetics thing though, in terms of functionality it's an excellent device.

first time the other day, saw a 85" at our local "store".... un-$#%@#$-believable... yeah, it was almost 3g's but... WOW

It's all relative. Like 5 years ago a 42" 720p would run you more than 3 gs. 3gs for an 85" display seems like a steal comparatively.

I remember when the Evo first came out and thinking "this thing is huge" (no jokes there). People would stop and stare at it when I was on lunch break watching movies with the kickstand.

Now I am not going for the Note or anything that big. If it can't fit comfortably in my pocket then it is a no go.

But good luck to you with it.
