its screwed. i need to get this thing going again. my girlfriend didnt want me messing with it in the first place. im dead. couldnt help myself
 
idk if this matters or not but im on XP. my laptop is in the shop so i had to come over to my moms house. the home of the oldest computer in the world

I've had better luck using RSD on the XP computer then I have on with Win 7 computer so that might be a good thing for you lol.
Just dont forget to patch the ini file like the instructions say
 
i patched it. im on the step where i select the sbf. am i browsing on the rsd from my start menu? it just looks like exel...lost.
 
put the sbf file on your desktop. open rsd click the "..." button near the top of the rsd window... that will show the browse window... now just find the sbf on your desktop

man at this point idk where the hell i am. ive been following both of those threads. the most understandable ist the how to. says unzip the remaining folders but when i open them one tells me i have a newer version and the other says my processor doesnt recongnize it
 
the one telling you that you have a newer version is probiably your drivers.... as long as you have a driver that recognises your phone youll be fine. did you unzip the rsd file and patch the ini yet? start there
 
and that link for the downgrade zip takes me nowhere so that could be a problem too. idk i got the rsd. the gift. patched the rsd. stuck. phone is on bootloader. if i can just get to the part where i can click start ill shit myself. no joke.

Where/what are you opening? Are you talking about extracting the files from the zip?
 
ok one step at a time lol. youve got the rsd patched, good... the program opens right? if yes good... have you found the sbf file yet? its a long file name starting with vzw
 
i guess i should use the quote so you guys know who im talking to. thanks btw....i was about to go stand in traffic. so now what?

i went through my computer and found the file for rsd lite. i opened it to make sure the ini was in there and not the sbf. under pst_ini it says...exactly microsoft office excel 97-200... idk
