LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! Your in an area with bad reception and your phone is working harder to get a signal. Nothing you can do about that unless you wanna spend mad $$$ on a signal booster everywhere you stay at...which is pointless.

Can everyone post your time of use along with the percentage of the display, voice calls, and media server(music)? This will really show everyone how much the phone was used.

I keep most apps "task-killed", except Email, Clock, Music Player, Messaging. Sometimes I close out Music Player.

Note: Used a little bit so far today, just for voice calls and email checking. Perused some Facebook. Did a tad of internet browsing.

I have only had the phone for one week. I definitely have seen my battery life improve after a few power cycles. Went two days without a charge ending yesterday, I did a lot of browsing, facebooking, and played SNESoid quite a bit the night before. I was shocked it lasted so long. Wish I had recorded the stats then.

Mix of using wi-fi and not. Brightness turned all the way down, auto adjust off. Most Internet access is done over wi-fi

Mine only last for 7hrs and I can't even turn on the phone. down to 5% trying for the past 7 days same result. Reset phone, flash stock firmware etc.. same thing
I read from other forum some battery life suck and others were good so I just bought another samsung G9 with diff date etc.. to try it out

Wow. I want that. I'll have to checkout lookout and 3g watchdog. Although I think I'll keep brightness set to auto because when you're in direct sunlight it changes to a brightness that makes it MUCH easier to see; it will go from barely viewable to comfortably viewable. From the looks of it though you didn't really use your phone...like at all. So...did you use your phone at all or did it just sit in your pocket auto-syncing every-so-often??

I didn't charge last night and put it up for charge for about 15-20 mins before leaving this morning. I'm at 87% now

I'm at work most of the time and get home and play games on it at night basically. Don't use at a whole lot, but I did make about 1hr worth of calls yesterday.

My wi-fi is set to turn off when idle or unavailable and i have 0% time without signal.

you have to have auto-brightness off and then you can just swipe the status bar left and right to adjust brightness pretty much any time the status bar is visible (wont work when in camera mode)

It is identical to battery indicator except that his/her notification bar icon is green not white...I use battery indicator and I love it

sent/received about 60 texts total
looked at 3 apps on 3g, no downloads
Normally- 3g toggled off, no wifi, no gps, lowest screen brightness, always switch to standby, black backround, no background data, task killer

Everything I could possibly do without messing with the ROMs/rooting.
Bad battery? I talked to AT&T store and they offered to switch out battery. Is it the battery or the entire phone itself that causes the drain?
Thanks for any replies....I have 10 days to decide.

You click on the display heading while in battery use, you can do that for all of the headings and it will give you more detail.

well if that estimate is correct, then i must have a defective battery or something. i can probably only get 2-3 hours of use from my phone and be unplugged for like 15 hours max.

No one else can achieve this kind of battery life. His phone must have super powers. Maybe his can teach ours?
