Jeboo kernel for JB Leak

Thanks Slug, but i downloaded it, unzipped it and its a zImage! I just dont know where to find the tar, because Odin doesnt recognize the zImage

I assume you are downloading them to your PC. Perhaps you have accidentally associated tar files with something else. If you go to your downloads folder, what is the full name of the file you downloaded?

Edit: I have tested the link I gave you and the file downloads as a tar file.

OK try this. Download 7zip. Unzip the siyah zip. Then use 7zip to make a tar archive out of the siyah zimage.

I see the problem... you're wrongly assuming you extract the contents. ;)

TAR-packaged kernels are flashed intact, either via Odin (PC) or Mobile Odin (Android).

Ok Slug, I think I am tracking you now! So I dont need to extract the tar from the zip? Sorry Squinty13 I didnt get back to you sooner, I was trying to understand 7zip, I use winzip which is easier for a old greezer like me!!

When you flash via odin it must be a tar file.

You can root with siyah but I'm not sure about Jeboo. Go with siyah to be sure. Once rooted, you can flash the jeboo zip from recovery if want to give it a spin.

Hey guys thanks for your help and advice! I just flashed siyah with Odin, of course I used the one for ICS first but just reflashed with one for JB and all was well again! Lol! Also installed Superuser. So what kind of trouble can I get into? Lol!
