Jelly Bean on Bionic starting to look likely

Two things in Bionic's favor for getting JB. One, it's hardware similarity to the Razr's. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the CPU identical, merely clocked down for the Bionic? The only hardware difference I can tell is the screens and case, and of course case doesn't matter.

The second being Google owning Motorola's mobility division now. They may insist on any device that can be upgraded to JB be upgraded to show they don't want fragmentation.

No reason the phone can't handle it, so if they say we should be getting it then I hope it's true. Even better would be if they manage to get it out FAST to make up for how long we waited for ICS. It is just what they call an "evolutionary" update after all, just going from 4.0 to 4.1. Shouldn't have as many obstacles as getting a phone updated to an entirely new Android version. Don't think we'll ever know if it was Moto or Verizon to blame for our update taking so long, but whoever it was, they could definitely win some customers back by getting JB out soon.

Doubt it though. I'll mark it on my calendar for Q3 2013.

Didn't they say that they are promising it to the bionic.

Something like that. Forgot the exact details but devices are either promised to get the upgrade or if you have a phone that is not getting upgraded, you'll get a $100 credit for it to get a new phone.

EDIT: The website is now open where you can register to either be notified when your device is ready to get the JB update or that you qualify for the $100 trade in.

GB is better than ICS. Therefore, is Froyo better than GB?

It's all opinion. Frankly ICS was a cool upgrade, but the method for adding widgets is ******ed. Plus I like to scroll vertically through apps, not sideways.

I don't want to install a new launcher, not worth it.

One thing I do miss since the ICS update is the original Motorola messaging "cluster". That is the shortcut that showed all of your email accounts and text messages in a little block.

Plus Motorola had some nice widgets including the News & Weather, I've had to use scrolling widget, which is so-so. I'm wondering if the diminishing inclusion of specialty widgets by manufacturer is Android's attempt to be more universal like Apple. It would eliminate the possibilities of buyers being turned off becasue they didn't like Blur, or Sense UI. Mostly theory here, but possibility.
