I'm not sure but the cm10 rom which I'm using is running the official 4.1.1 jellybean

I haven't even been able to locate a bug. I always wanted a cm rom but I waited over a month to give cm 10 a go. Because I too was seeing people talk about bugs. However there are constantly updates and new releases with a changelog and list of bug fixes.. like I said I haven't noticed not one bug. I use Wi-Fi, 3g, GPS, 4g.. I use my phone all the time. I would've found one if it existed. I'm definitely glad I gave it a go..

If you do decide to try it, be sure to download the safe recovery off the op, and the rom zip, and the gapps zip. . After having all 3 on your SD, flash the safe recovery. Then reboot recovery. . Then flash cm10 then gapps. And your good to go. 5min minus download time. I even flashed a zip for twrp. Touch screen recovery a few days ago.. phone is prefect

I haven't really seen any battery drain problems. .my phone gets a full day which is as good as your gonna get when you know you use your phone alot. I would definitely check the change log. Because there have been many versions in a short time. Ands other cm devs have been. Releasing test builds daily. I haven't tried those but I can vouch for the newest version on the open as stable, bug free, and the best rom I've had on any phone
 
i'll more likely wait till the official update so i dont have to be fusterated with the bugs the rom thats currently on the xda site
 
Dude, don't wait. JB is the bomb. I'm on cm10 as a daily driver and its gravy man. I read the same stuff u did, had the same EXACT impression, then said Screw It and I'm glad I switched. If u don't like it u can always go back to fully stock with no triangle and a reset flash counter. I know u wanna...... :D

It's a good phone.. especially since it's only 100 bucks now. Awesome developers on the forums. Great roms that definitely improve the phone. Development is definitely alot more organized than our forums. It's still on Ginger bread but every rom that's on the forums makes it very ics like. Easy to root. Just flash a zip through stock recovery now. Id suggest noob rom by Mr bobo if he gets it
 
Did you like your warp? Just asking cause a friend of mine wants a new phone, and he can't afford to spend almost 400 dollars on the SGS2.

I've had both the warp and warp sequent. Warp is ok, but your friend will want to root it, and use a rom, that seems to fix a lot of the issues with the warp1. The warp1 is the cheapest way to go at $80 and perhaps the best really, since it has stable root ability, and can go back to stock if need be. I wouldn't recommend going back to stock though, as that's what causes a lot of the warp1 issues.

As for the Sequent, it's a better processor, and a better screen for sure, the screen is a very noticeable difference in clarity. It has root but is not stabilized yet, and as far as I can tell, you can't go back to stock "yet", but they are working on it. It is the second cheapest option, at $200.
I personally can say for me it seemed to have some lag to it, not a drastic amount but it was there, so I am going to the s2 (sorry zte, I can't handle it anymore). This is for me personally.

I would recommend between the 2 the warp1+rooting it, as it would be the cheapest and most stable of the 2. If the sequent had root, and perhaps a rom or 2 I'd say go the sequent, but even with the extra added specs such as 1.4ghz vs 1ghz, and better screen clarity, for me it's about stability over fancy eye candy. That's just my own opinion though.

SelfElevated2 may have other ideas as he has had the warp1 as well.

Oh and on the battery thing, ,, I just got home from work but over 8 hrs and around 50 percent isn't bad. That would give you 16 hrs normal usage.
Really pretty good for any smart phone. I used a 3200 extended battery on my warp.. that made it a brick but battery is fine on the s2 with cm10. If it wasn't I'd get an extended battery for it

I'll recommend the warp to him, His blackberry 8530 is feeling kinda limited. My battery on the S2 is doing very good too. I use it plenty and don't need to wonder if I have my charger with me. I consider anything beyond 12 hours respectable with normal use. I know people always complain about battery life on smart phones, but when you think of it you are using tiny laptop. I would be amazed if my laptop would run for 15 plus hours using it at the level i use my phone.

I bought a 3500mah and was very happy with mine.
It made it big and fat, which it seems a lot of people really hate these days, but at the end of the day I haev to ask those people "Oh by the way, hows your battery life doing" hehe, I'd get answers like well I have 40% left, or well it's low so I had to turn it off, or something, and I knew they had o be plugging it in, while I on the other hand, even away from a plugin or a power source at all, could get 6-8 hrs on moderatly high usage or maybe even high, and I could stretch 16-22 hrs out of one charge and still have 20%-30% left, that's not doing much at all, but that's very nice not haveing to plug in the phone every time I turn around.
I loved it. Never had to worry about being tied to a power source all the time.

I will probably end up getting a 3500mah for the s2 when I get it, I'm just all about the battery life.

On that note I saw that droid has a droid razor max I think it's called, and they brag about it being a 32hr battery life....now THAT is SWEET!!!!
 
Just download 3 files from that thread first. ..cm10 alpha 5.3. The gapps zip, then the safe recovery. All the links are on the thread.

After downloading all of them to your SD. Go into recovery, first flash the safe recovery, then reboot recovery not reboot system... you'll notice it's a different recovery. .now flash cm10, then gapps. Now reboot. And there you go... you can download lots of extra cm10 themes from the play store. I'll post a link when I get a chance.
 
Oh and be sure to put them on the external SD card because you need to wipe data and both caches b4 flashing cm10 and I'm not sure if a data wipe wipes the internal SD. . You can use a file manager to move them to the external if it doesn't download them there by default. Just make sure they are in the external before going to recovery and stating the process so it's easy and can be done at one time :D
