Root just a theory

yesterday i unrooted my fone and formatted my sd card,yes be sure to bk up everything first!!! but as of lastnight im rooted running pure stock!ive removed some of the apps i dont care for,but let me tell you,this thing so far is running smooth and no lags,i was so close to returning the fone yesterday,but after i unrooted i even did the lg update,and then did the emergency update in the options menu,now that took about 1hr to do but afterwards things seem to be doing alot betr,just thought id share,maybe you guys need to start fresh,meaning completely over,unroot,update,the whole 9 yds,might see i diff,what do u have to lose,gve it a try,any questions ask me or pm me ill help ya out,thats wat we are here for!!good luck guys! ;)
 
Any phone can run pretty decent without many apps on it. Hell, when I got this phone it ran great, better then the Huawei Ascend. But if it starts lagging like hell after installing a few apps on it what's the use? This phone is old now, and doesn't run good. In a world of dual and quad core phones this phone is falling behind in terms of performance. I'm glad I got a new phone, this phone used to make super angry everyday.

Ditto re every rom update and/or reset...zippity do dah, BUT then gradual return to lagginess....even with background progs trimmed down.

Don't want to cut down on my apps....

I'm tempted by Motion@$29 & Exhibit@$49....

Deodexed roms (even stock deodexed) run slower than odexed. Why do we deodex in the first place then? One, because we can, two, because is easier to theme and modify

You should try installing Ldrifta's #2 rom and then install SetCPU(delivers processor MHz based ondemand or you can set it to fully function at 1ghz entire time). MY ESTEEM RUNS LIKE AN IPHONE 5 / SAMSUNG S4. (Stock out of METROPCS, even with barely no apps still runs like that first generation 29 dollars Huawei metro sold years ago.)
Really.... give it a try before giving up, the phone is SUPER.

lol, even most deodexed ROMS run faster without MetroPCSs bloatware eating up RAM though

actually odexed just boots faster vs deodexed. ;) after boot I've not seen any noticeable differences in smoothness/speed/lag/etc. ;)

Actually, once deodexed has booted for the first time it's supposed to run as smooth as odexed ones; however this resets every time the dalvik is wiped
