Root Just another silly rom...

Thanks adrynalyne, I'm sure this will be a spectacular ROM, just like the roms you made back on the Omnia.

EDIT: This installed flawlessly and seems to be working great. I didn't do any benchmarks prior to installing so there are no numbers I can compare.
 
Sounds like a fantastic rom, might be the first one i try, tonight...

Let me see if i have the rundown of what needs to be done from my rooted phone.

1) Revert to stock recovery and 2.1 install.
2) Apply the leaked OTA patch.
3) Install this ROM?

Id love to just install this sucka from clockwork rom manager but i dont have the ota applied so i guess thats a no go right... :(
 
Did you go to the Incredible, or just dabbling in different devices? I will have to watch your work after Froyo comes out having used yours on my Omnia I know it will be good stuff!

I have had the Dinc since it came out. I also have compiled roms for the MOTO Droid.
 
I have had the Inc since release as well...great device!!

Glad to see you working on these...I haven't seen BGill in here (under a different name maybe) but you two have been my ROM source for a couple years, so when Froyo officially comes out I am sure things will start hopping in the ROM world!!
 
Yeah, about that...

bgill55 and I worked a few months ago on a rom project that was quite successful.

He has retired from Android developing, at least for now. We parted on good terms, he is a great guy! However, there are more pressing things going on in his life right now and I wish him the best regardless of what he does.

So right now I am flying solo, and honestly, am not 100% sure I will continue developing either. We will see. I said I would stop two months ago, and I have mostly.

Thats why I am not making much fanfare about the whole deal. I am just offering the rom I use to others who may want it, without having to clean up the crapware mess that it is as stock.
 
Just read your post, and I know what you mean (not in a developing sense, but in life) about people not appreciating what you do for them without expecting anything in return. I understand if you don't continue, but if you do I will take a look. I am hoping for a good, trimmed (OK maybe a few extras added in) Froyo ROM with Sense (I can't help it, I like it) in it. BGill had things going on when he was in the WM world as well, but he always gave us as much as he could and supported his work 100% (as did you), so I wish the both of you the best and hope to see you around!
