Root Just can't SBF in Windows 7 64bit, help?

Hey, I have SBF before using windows xp for a friend. Now I want to sbf but I have windows 7 64bit... I have read every possible thread and instruction that I can find. But no matter what version of rsd lite I use OR version of moto connect....

RSDLite will not recognize my device when I plug it in. I watched it install all of the drivers, and I even went back and manually installed them.

Has anyone else had this problem of RSDLite 4.6, 4.7, 4.8 +++ not recognizing the device and what did you do to resolve it?

Thanks

Yeah Steven That thread you linked is the first one i walked through. But I still ain't getting anywhere so I'll try again

Yeah, I followed that thread Again, and still doesn't show my device in RSDLite, the pc has no trouble finding it and installing drivers though,

Yes, Please notice I underlined, italicised, & bolded the fact that I have done this before. I understand the procedure well, just wondering why it will not recognize the device.

But alas, I have a spare partition on my Hard Drive, so I will just install XP on it and do this the easy way.

Thanks for the quick replies! still feel free to chime in if you have had/resolved this issue before!

Just fyi, the latest rsdlite is 5.5. I found it in the Team Black Hat app. The thread does not have the latest rsdlite. Having said that, folks around here are using the linux method to sbf if they are having trouble with sbf through windows (I've never had trouble, so I never used it.)

Here's the link for you: http://androidforums.com/droid-x-al...ootable-linux-cd-soley-sbf-headache-free.html

Unfortunately, I'm going to bed, now. There will be a lot of helpful folks around starting in the morning, if you still are in need of help.

Good luck to you.

Steven

:) understood that you had before, as had I and I had forgotten steps the last time i had to SBF. I was just starting out easy and hoping it would solve it for you. As i said before my 64 bit had given me the same problem and i just had to download new drivers from Moto.
